After a rigorous tasting process of nearly 15 samples, the Washington Nationals are excited to select the Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey Barrel “Z6J5” as The Nationals first ever Barrel Selection. This 750ML single barrel cask strength bourbon hails from Louisville, KY based Barrell Craft Spirits, one of the most awarded and innovative whiskey blenders in the nation.
This limited edition single barrel selection was selected exclusively for Nats Plus Members.
Tasting Notes:
Barrel Z6J5, a 9-year-old bourbon distilled in Indiana with a 99% corn mash bill. Here's what you can expect from this unique and delicious bourbon:
On the nose, you'll be greeted with an aroma of sugar-coated doughnut, maple syrup, and dried mango, along with hints of baked apricot, vanilla cream, ancho chili, and a subtle touch of tarragon. The scent is complex, yet inviting, and gives you a preview of the indulgent flavors to come.
When you take a sip, you'll be met with a rich and viscous palate that's sure to impress. You'll notice flavors of maple syrup, iced mocha latte, and flan, along with candied pineapple that adds a fruity note to the mix.
